Perform regular maintenance and repairs on a variety of ground service equipment for American Airlines, including but not limited to baggage carts, ground power units, and cargo loaders.
Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify and troubleshoot any mechanical issues, and develop and implement effective solutions.
Ensure all maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely manner to avoid delays or disruptions in operations.
Adhere to all safety protocols and standards while performing maintenance and repairs.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment status.
Collaborate with other team members, including mechanics and supervisors, to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks.
Continuously evaluate and improve maintenance processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
Stay up-to-date on industry advancements and best practices in aviation ground service equipment maintenance.
Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding equipment status, maintenance needs, and potential safety concerns.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as federal regulations.
