Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree required; Master's in Real Estate, Finance, or Business preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate, with at least 4 years in multifamily asset management; affordable housing experience strongly preferred.Demonstrated success managing institutional-quality assets and value-add strategies.Deep understanding of real estate financial modeling, underwriting, and valuation techniques.Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial reporting tools; experience with Yardi or similar platforms is a plus.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with an ability to work across functional teams and external partners.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable insights.Travel required up to 25% of the time, including extended site visits as needed. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement strategic business plans to maximize net operating income (NOI) and long-term asset value.Lead the day-to-day asset management of a portfolio of affordable multifamily assets, including oversight of third-party property management firms.Review and approve property-level budgets, financial statements, capital plans, and leasing strategies.Manage all aspects of property performance including occupancy, revenue growth, and expense control.Coordinate with internal construction teams on capital improvement programs, renovation scopes, and timeline execution.Participate in refinance, disposition, and recapitalization events across the affordable portfolio.Monitor market dynamics and regulatory trends in affordable housing to inform investment strategy and compliance.Collaborate with the Investments team during due diligence to assess operating assumptions, staffing, and market viability.Prepare and lead quarterly asset reviews, investor reporting, and joint venture updates.Maintain proactive communication with JV partners, lenders, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
