Role Description
The Virtual Evening Adolescent Group Therapist is responsible for providing group, family, and/or individual psychotherapy and psychoeducation, as well as other aspects of care, treatment, and services within the scope of licensure. This role emphasizes clinical excellence, ethical standards, and a commitment to client-centered care across diverse settings.
Qualifications
Must reside in Texas
Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Development, Counseling, or a related behavioral science field from an accredited college or university
Active clinical license in the State of Texas (LMSW, LPC-Associate, LCSW, or LPC)
Minimum of 1 year of experience in clinical assessment and diagnosis, with a focus on treating and preventing mental, emotional, and behavioral health challenges
Active supervision plan with an LCSW-S or LPC-S, if applicable
Current CPR certification
Requirements
Provide group psychotherapy and psycho-educational according to PHP/IOP program schedule.
Co-facilitate family therapy sessions with clients in the PHP or IOP program, per program guidelines.
Develop and review discharge plan with the client and family, as appropriate, per discharge planning policy (MH CS 007).
Complete psychosocial assessment within 72 hrs. of admission to PHP or IOP.
Assist in developing the interdisciplinary treatment plan, with clients in PHP/IOP programming, outlining focus for treatment, goals, and interventions.
Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings with PHP/IOP clients.
Document all clinical encounters with clients and groups clearly and concisely, demonstrating the therapeutic process.
Demonstrate an understanding of utilization review issues, criteria for continued stay, and discharge.
Demonstrate ongoing evaluation of clients’ diagnosis, psychosocial stressors, strengths, and opportunities for growth.
Evaluate clients’ progress using identified outcome measures and discuss with the treatment team.
Assist client and family with PHP/IOP discharge planning, including community resources and referrals.
Discuss day to day programming with other clinicians to ensure quality care.
Provide excellent customer service to clients and staff.
Ensure client satisfaction and participate in addressing issues if they arise.
Maintain a positive, professional image in the office and in the community.
Participate in QA/QI process, ensuring that services are evidenced based, and treatment is evidence informed.
Maintain regular work hours, being on time and managing time well.
Demonstrate personal characteristics of patience, tact, cheerfulness and enthusiasm toward the administration and clients. Must be able to appropriately respond to all types of behavior.
Complete thorough documentation for client care PHP/IOP admit orders and PHP/IOP discharge orders.
Report necessary clinical information to physicians and nurse practitioners.
Respond and assist in the event of a medical emergency.
Any additional duties that facilitate the effective operations of the programs and services provided include but not limited to individual, couples or family therapy services.

Salary: $65K - $85K annually
120 hours (15 days) of paid time off
40 hours (5 days) of sick leave
24 hours (3 days) of paid bereavement leave per occurrence.
