Role Description The Digital Asset Operations Director is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations across Robinhood’s digital asset products, including cryptocurrency and related services. This role leads the design, implementation, and optimization of operational processes, ensuring regulatory adherence, risk management, and high service reliability.
The director collaborates with product, engineering, compliance, risk, and customer support teams to streamline workflows, resolve escalated operational issues, and drive continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include defining operational metrics, managing budgets for operations initiatives, optimizing vendor and partner relationships, and enhancing customer experience through efficient and secure asset operations. The position also involves leading and mentoring a cross-functional operations team, setting performance goals, and fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
Qualifications
Strong Operations Management experience, including process design, optimization, and oversight of complex, technology-driven financial or digital asset operations.
Demonstrated Analytical Skills for data-driven decision-making, performance measurement, and risk assessment in fast-paced, regulated environments.
Proven Team Management capabilities, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration.
Experience with Budgeting, resource planning, and financial oversight of operational programs and vendor relationships.
Customer Service orientation, with a track record of improving support workflows and customer experience for digital financial products.
Knowledge of cryptocurrency markets, digital asset custody, and relevant regulatory frameworks is highly beneficial.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, operations, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CFA, FRM) are a plus.
